MPlayer是一款基于Linux的媒体播放程序，支持多种媒体格式。 MPlayer在处理畸形DMO文件时存在缓冲区溢出漏洞，远程攻击者可能通过诱使用户打开恶意DMO文件控制用户机器。MPlayer的loader/dmo/DMO_VideoDecoder.c文件中的DMO_VideoDecoder()函数在解析特制的视频文件时存在堆溢出漏洞。format->biSize变量直接从视频文件获得其值，最大可为LONG_MAX。在136行没有执行任何检查便将所获得的值用作了memcpy()调用的长度参数，这可能导致用视频文件中的数据溢出this->m_sVhdr->bmiHeader缓冲区。此外loader/dshow/DS_VideoDecoder.c文件的DS_VideoDecoder_Open()函数也存在类似的漏洞。

The DMO_VideoDecoder_Open function in loader/dmo/DMO_VideoDecoder.c in MPlayer 1.0rc1 and earlier, as used in xine-lib, does not set the biSize before use in a memcpy, which allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a buffer overflow and possibly execute arbitrary code, a different vulnerability than CVE-2007-1387.
